12 Jun 2009If you’ve never been to the Big Chip award evening and have no idea what it’s all about, here is our pocketsized guide to one of the most important nights in the Manchester digital calendar.
1. You don’t have to be shortlisted for an award or even have entered, to attend.
2. Single tickets are available – you don’t need to buy a whole table (there’s a gag somewhere in there).
3. It aint that posh – dress ‘code’ is “dress to impress” but no, you don’t have to wear a penguin suit if that’s not your thing.
4. It’s not just for agencies and companies – lots of freelancers come along.
5. The evening is a great networking opportunity.
6. Bill Bailey is doing a roundup set – worth going for that alone surely?
7. It’s a great opportunity to see some really nice digital work
8. Drinking, comedian, digital goodness – what’s not to like?
9. Everyone is welcome, you don’t even need to be a member of Manchester digital (although obviously we recommend that you join this wonderful organisation
So give it a go, we promise you won’t regret it.
