26 Mar 2009Like many entrants I will be breathing a small sigh of relief. I don’t think anyone really enjoys doing entries do they? What we want is the nomination and hopefully the award – and we would rather know now how we have done.
If you do win all the time spent writing, reviewing, proofing and then more reviewing and proofing after consultation will have been worth it. In fact the effort and time it takes to do an entry can be quickly forgotten if you get the prize.
But with the competition now presented by the Big Chips – quality and numbers of entrants – you have to up your chances. The simple logic is you have to go in for as many awards as you think you have got a good chance of winning.
It is time consuming but what is the commercial value of winning a Big Chip? It comes down to this: it gives commissioning professionals outside the digital sector another level of confidence and reassurance about using a supplier and that can translate into work.
